Use only Dr. Broner’s liquid soap in the large container. You can pick your favorite flavor, but I recommend the tea tree and almond. Peppermint is an interesting experience, but it is very cooling and drying, so be sure you want that type of treatment. The big bottle is preferable obviously because it cuts down on the usage of plastic.
Buy a scrunchy spongey thing at CVS or Walgreens or even Whole Foods. I recommend getting the kind with the loop so that you can leave it hanging on the dr. broners bottle when you’re finished.
Which reminds me. Buy another type of soap bottle and replace the dr. broners cap with a spritzer cap from the other soap. This way you save A TON of dr. broners, and squirting is a much more exact science than pouring, which makes it more systematic.
Hop in the shower as soon it is warm. The warmth of the water is hydrotherapeutic so enjoy that experience for at least half a minute or two. Get yourself all wet, and relaxed. Now, take your sponge, and make two-three squirts of dr. broners into the sponge. Put it under the shower just enough to wet it. Turn OFF the water completely. Some shower heads have water saver buttons, but if it doesn’t you can simply turn off the water. Make a good later in the sponge. Wash and scrub yourself in whatever fashion you are comfortable with.
Turn the water back on, rinse out the sponge, hang it back on the dr. broners bottle, rinse yourself off, and turn the water off. You are now bathed.
The advantages of this process are reduced water consumption, reduced soap consumption, good exfoliation and daily self-massage.
